Shakespeare Jahrbuch

The Shakespeare Jahrbuch is one of the leading publications in the field of international Shakespeare studies; but it is not only addressed to specialists. It offers contributions in German and English, scholarly articles, an extensive section of book reviews, and reports on Shakespeare productions in the German-speaking world. It also documents the activities of the Shakespeare-Gesellschaft.

Shakespeare Jahrbuch is a peer-reviewed academic journal, which is listed in the European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences (ERIH Plus)

The Shakespeare Jahrbuch is distributed to members at the spring conference or via mail. It is also available from bookshops at a price of € 47.04.

Studying Edition The bilingual student’s edition is the first and only project that has achieved a completely scholarly edition of Shakespeare’s dramas for German readers. It is published under the auspices of the Deutsche Shakespeare Gesellschaft.

Boydell Catalogue The catalogue of a 1996 exhibition of the engravings of the Boydell Shakespeare Gallery. Some of the scholarly articles and illustrations from the catalogue are available online.
