With Prof Dr Hans-Jürgen Diller, the Shakespeare Society has lost an important personality. He was a regular guest during the Shakespeare Days and, under Prof Dr Dieter Mehl’s term as president, also a member of the society’s board. He was especially involved in the reunification of the German Shakespeare Society in 1993. During the revision of the statute, he paid attention to the compatibility of both previously existing charters. The German Shakespeare Society commemorates his work in sincere gratitude.
