Spring Conference “Shakespeare and Truth”
24 – 26 April 2026 in Bochum
The next conference on “Shakespeare and Truth” will take place from April 24 to 26, 2026, in Bochum. Prof. Dr. Julian Nida-Rümelin (LMU Munich) will be giving the opening lecture. We are also looking forward to plenary lectures by Prof. Kevin Curran (University of Lausanne), Prof. Alison Findlay (Lancaster University), Prof. Subha Mukherji (University of Cambridge), and Prof. Anne-Julia Zwierlein (University of Regensburg).
A performance of Romeo and Juliet at the Schauspielhaus is also on the programme, as well as a cinema screening of the film Hamnet (2025, based on the best-selling novel by Maggie O’Farrell).
