Shakespeare-Yearbook
The Shakespeare Jahrbuch is the yearbook of the German Shakespeare Society. It was first released in 1865, and since 2019, it is being published by Kröner Verlag (Stuttgart). It is a peer-reviewed journal and contains scholarly articles in German and English, usually related to a specific theme, a theatre review with reflections on German Shakespeare productions from the past year, a book review with reviews of important publications in German and international Shakespeare scholarship, as well as reports on the work of the German Shakespeare Society.
The editor of the Shakespeare Jahrbuch is Isabel Karremann (Zürich); Felix Sprang (Siegen) is responsible for the theatre review “Theaterschau”; Susanne Gruß (Bamberg) and Lena Steveker (Luxembourg) are responsible for the book review.
