The German Shakespeare Society regularly provides impulses to awaken students’ interest in Shakespeare research. As a rule, a Shakespeare study day sponsored by the German Shakespeare Society is held at a university once a year.
The next study day is planned for 16 November 2024 at the University of Siegen.

15 October 2021 marked the anniversary of the death of the renowned Shakespeare translator Frank Günther. To mark the occasion, the German Shakespeare Society organised the first study day together with the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, at which his fellow translator Christa Schuenke gave a lecture on the topic of “Translating Shakespeare / Shakespeare übersetzen”.
