Conferences of the Deutsche Shakespeare Gesellschaft

Our conferences are open to everyone interested in Shakespeare, in particular scholars, teachers and those involved in the theatre. They combine lectures, panels and seminars with theatrical performances, films, exhibitions and concerts. The languages used are German and English.

The annual conference “Shakespeare-Tage” takes place in April, generally at turns in Bochum and Weimar. Every autumn, a smaller conference is held in the other of the two cities. In the last few years conferences were also held in other cities like Bremen and Berlin.
